Iyo-OSHIMA, A Field And A Bay

The birthplace(kominka) of Hitone Noma is located in Oshima. Oshima is located in Imabari-shi,Ehime. Kominka is the meaning called a traditional Japanese houses, especially ones built a long time ago. This house is built in 1833.

野間仁根の生家は、大島(伊予大島)にあります。　伊予大島について、ご紹介します。 家と風土には深い関わりがあると思うからです。

Geiyo islands The green line is the Nishiseto Expressway. It is commonly known as the Setouchi Shimanami Kaido Expressway

瀬戸内海の中国地方側の尾道市と、四国側の今治市の間には、尾道市側から、 向島(むかいじま)、因島(いんのしま)、井口島(いぐちじま)、大三島(おおみしま)、 弓削島(ゆげじま)、岩城島(いわぎじま)、生名島(いくなじま)、伯方島(はかたじま)、 大島(おおしま)があり、芸豫諸島(げいよしょとう)とよばれています。 隣接して、大崎上島(おおさきかみじま)、大崎下島(おおさきしもじま)、豊島(とよしま)、 下蒲刈島(しもかまがりじま)などがあります。 これらの島々の間には、さらに、大小様々な島が点在して、すべてで数百の島々からなります。 最大の島、大三島は、東京都世田谷区の約１.１倍、大島は、世田谷区の約０.７倍の大きさです。 大島という名前の島は、主なもので、奄美大島、周防大島、伊豆大島、伊予大島があります。 伊予大島の大きさを１として、奄美大島は17倍、周防大島は3.3倍、伊豆大島は2倍です。 また、淡路島は14倍、小豆島は3.7倍です。

伊予大島を訪ねていただくと、いにしえにタイムスリップしたような気になる、 静かでやさしい島です。 Scenery such as the Iyo-Oshima, Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge, Shitadami Port.

来島海峡大橋　全長　4105m　 来島海峡大橋には、歩道もあります。 天気の良い日は来島海峡大橋を、歩いて１時間半ほどで渡ることができます。途中、トイレもあります。 紺碧の海、激しい潮の流れ、多島海、その中を行き交う船々を見ながら歩きます。

We have maintained this old private house for years. When this old house does not use it, it gradually deteriorates rots. We wish we could find somebody or a company rents this house as an art museum, a guesthouse, a restaurant, a hotel, etc. We wish to utilize this old house (Kominka) and want to leave it until coming ages.
